2017 National Registry Refresher

The Central Iowa EMS Directors Association is  hosting an NREMT refresher course.  The refresher course is open to CIEMSD member departments at a discounted rate and open to all other EMS providers at full price.  Member departments include any department in Polk or the surrounding 8 contiguous counties (Boone, Story, Marshall, Jasper, Marion, Warren, Madison, Dallas)

The National Registry has changed its format. Recertification is based on the National Continued Competency Project (NCCP) requirements plus additional hours set by local and individual preferences. The amount of continuing education hours that meet NCCP requirements are as follows:

  • EMT – 20 hours NCCP content
  • AEMT – 25 hours NCCP content
