Welcome to the Central Iowa EMS Directors website!  The Central Iowa EMS Directors Association is composed of EMS Directors and agency representatives from central Iowa.  The Association meets every other month to share ideas, unite as a single voice, and make decisions on issues affecting our agencies and communities.  There are 9 counties included in the association, which include: Boone, Dallas, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Marshall, Polk, Story, and Warren.

We encourage each EMS agency in the nine county area to have their service director or a representative attend the association meetings.  The meetings are held on third Monday of odd numbered months.  The group meets at a different location each month.  The upcoming meetings are posted on the events tab on the right of this screen or click  here to view the  2010 Meeting Schedule.

Survey Monkey Available to CIEMSD Members

Central Iowa EMS Directors Association has purchased a professional subscription for Survey Monkey.  This is a powerful online survey tool that can be used at any time by members of CIEMSD.  We can create an unlimited number of surveys and have no limit to the number of responses.  Some examples of uses are:

  • Training class evaluations
  • Department surveys
  • Patient satisfaction surveys
  • Regional equipment or services surveys
  • EMS provider surveys

Polk County MCI Plan

March 10th, 2010

A final version of the Polk County MCI plan will bepresented to Polk County Emergency Management Agency.  The operations committee of CIEMSD is working on updating the “Officer in a bag” kits and documentation and is planning several table top exercises to test the plan.  View the final plan Polk County MCI Plan (August 2010) here.
